  • Nathalie Du Pasquier Lecture

Following our workshop, on Nov 27th, 2013 Nathalie Du Pasquier gave a lecture at ECAL.  She spoke about her pattern development, her time as part of the Memphis Group, and also about her paintings.  She said she only paints up to a certain size, because that’s the biggest that will fit in her car.  Very practical, very relate-able.

  • Visit to GM Technical Center

GM Technical Center was designed by Eero Saarinen and opened in 1956
It was his first large architectural contract, and is still in use today.  The colorful glazed bricks used throughout the project were made by a local company which GM bought out during the construction to secure their uniqueness.
